Finding Support & Community

Navigating life as a 2SLGBTQIA+ person means different things to different people—sometimes you need professional support, sometimes you're looking for community, and sometimes you just want to know which businesses are safe and welcoming spaces. We've gathered resources both on and off campus to help you find what you need, when you need it.

Whether you're seeking mental health support, looking to connect with others who share your experiences, or searching for queer-friendly services in the Niagara region, this page is designed to be your starting point. We've organized everything to make it easier to find exactly what you're looking for:

  • On-Campus Resources includes services, groups, and support available right here at Brock University.
  • Off-Campus Resources extends beyond our campus to include:
    • Communities: Organizations, groups, and spaces where you can connect with other 2SLGBTQIA+ folks.
    • Community Health Centres: Healthcare providers offering affirming, knowledgeable care.
    • Hotlines & Support Services: Immediate support when you need someone to talk to.
    • Queer-Owned & Queer-Friendly: Businesses, services, and spaces that actively welcome and celebrate our community.

We update this page monthly to ensure our community has access to the most current and relevant support. Please note: Inclusion on this list does not constitute an official endorsement by Brock University or the 2SLGBTQIA+ Working Group, but reflects resources that community members have found helpful or welcoming.
